3)  Lap Swimming:  One lane of the pool will be reserved for lap swimming every evening between 6:00 and closing.

4) Swim Team: The normal practice time for swim team is before the pool opens each morning.  Swim meets are normally held on Thursday nights. On these days the pool will close at 4:00 to prepare the pool for the meet.  In the event a meet is delayed due to weather, it will be completed on the following day.  The pool will then be closed again for the completion of the meet.  Please review the calendar at http://www.peachtree-corners.org/index.php?option=com_events&Itemid=60

5) Party Reservations: Please contact Mark Hutton the Social Chair

6) Revington Membership Agreement: We have a membership agreement with Revington (across the street) that allows their members to use our pool, and for our members to use their pool (our members must sign a waiver and get a fob in order to use the Revington pool). If our pool needs to be closed due to contamination, or some other reason guards may be asked to guard at Revington until the end of their shift or until our pool can be reopened.

POOL RULES

1)       Membership Tags: while inside the pool enclosure, all members must either wear their tags or have the tags displayed on their bags or possessions.  Those without tags may be asked to return home to get them. Replacement tags are available for $5 from the Membership or Pool Committee chairmen.

2)       Food: All food and beverages must be consumed at least 6 feet away from the pool.  No glass bottles or containers will be permitted in the pool area.

3)       Vandalism will be prosecuted, and parents will be held responsible for any damage caused by their children.  This could result in loss of membership.

4)       No pets are allowed.

5)       No bikes, motorcycles, etc. will be allowed inside the fenced area—they must be parked at the bike rack outside the pool gate.

6)       Swimwear consists of recognized bathing suits only.  No one will be allowed to swim in cut off jeans.

7)       Diapers:  No disposable diapers are permitted on infants and toddlers using the pool.  Please use swim diapers covered by plastic pants with elastic waistband and leg openings.  Swim diapers are available for purchase if needed.

8)       Admission to the pool may be denied to
a)       any person who appears to be intoxicated, or
b)       anyone who has a skin infection, sore or inflamed eyes, a cold, nasal or ear discharge, any communicable disease, or open sores.

9)       Children:
a)       All children younger than 10 years of age must be accompanied by a member or guest who is 14 years of age or older.  The older person must provide careful supervision of the younger child.
b)       All children under 3 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at least 16 years old.
c)       Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied to the bathroom.

10)   Adults (18+) will have priority concerning the use of lounges and chairs.

11)   Absolutely no running will be allowed inside the pool area.

12)   Lifeguards:  Please do not monopolize the time of the lifeguards on duty.  Lifeguards are not at the pool to baby sit. No one except lifeguards will be permitted on the lifeguard stands.  The lifeguards are here to implement these rules, and, if the rules are abused, the lifeguards will recommend action against the individuals involved.

13)   Diving area:  One person at a time is allowed on the diving board.  Divers must dive straight off the end of the board.  No swimming is allowed in the diving area unless authorized by the lifeguards.  Games such as “sharks & minnows” will be limited to 15 minutes each hour in the diving area.

14)   Breaks:  Every hour on the hour there will be an adult swim break during which time the children under the age of 16 will be required to leave the pool.  These breaks will last 15 minutes.  The on-duty guards will blow the whistle on the hour –the appropriate timed break will not begin until the last child has exited the pool.  It is important that all children leave the pool promptly when the whistle is blown.  At the discretion of the lifeguards, they may ask any child who is tardy in leaving the pool to sit out a comparative amount of time as this takes away from everyone else’s swim time.  All children must remain out of the water during this time as there is no lifeguard supervision during the break.  The purpose of this break is to give adults a chance to swim by themselves, allow the kids to rest, and to give the lifeguards a chance to catch up on their other duties and alternate breaks.

15)   Only appropriate water toys are permitted inside the fenced pool area and in the pool at the discretion of the lifeguards. Tennis and other hard plastic or rubber balls are not allowed in the pool.  The use of large rafts will be permitted at the discretion of the lifeguards.  All activities deemed unsafe by the lifeguards shall be prohibited.

16)   Discipline problems are defined in two categories:

CLASS I:
Running, rough or dangerous play in and out of the water, general pool rules violations, yelling, and boisterous conduct.  These will be dealt with on the following basis:
       1st offense - reprimand
2nd offense - 5-30 min. ejection depending on severity of infraction
3rd offense - ejection for one full day - after contacting pool committee and parent
4th offense - ejection for one week

CLASS II:
Discipline problems are to include but are not limited to: being present under the influence of drugs or alcohol, theft and destruction of property.  In the event immediate disciplinary action is needed, lifeguards can suspend the offenders for the duration of the day. It is not necessary to contact the Supervisor for a temporary suspension. However, notification should be made as soon as action is taken. Non-compliance of any punishment by offender will be construed to be the next offense. All problems will be reported to the Pool Committee Chairman.

17)   When there is thunder and/or lightening in the area, the pool must be cleared.  The American Red Cross stipulates that at least 30 minutes must elapse from the time of the last thunderclap or lightening strike before anyone is allowed back in the pool.

18)   Guests: Members are allowed to bring guests to the pool, but the member must accompany the guest at all times.  A sign in book and cash box is located in the Guard House.  Please sign your name, membership number and guest name(s) and leave payment with the guard on duty.  Weekday guests are $1 each; weekend guests are $2 each.  Non-members may come as guests a maximum of 6 times/summer.

19)   House guests (those who stay in the home of a member one or more nights) may use the pool.  Arrangements need to be made in advance with the Pool Chairman.
