COVID-19 Update - 5/29/2020
Pool will open on Saturday, May 30. There will not be lifeguards on duty until June 1, so please watch your children carefully.
Additionally, before anyone can swim, we ask that you sign our waiver for the year.
As this is an unprecedented time for everyone, the 2020 season at the PCSR pool will not be a “normal” season. We do not know what the rest of the summer will look like, much less next week, or what regulations will be in place at that time. Please understand that the volunteer PCSR board is doing our best to accommodate all of our members in the safest environment possible. These rules and procedures will be evaluated weekly and state and county guidelines may change throughout the summer. As a result, the PCSR board may need to make changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our procedures based on pool attendance. We appreciate your membership and we ask for your patience and understanding while we work through this process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Peachtree Corners Swim & Racquet Club (PCSR) as of 5/15/2020:
Q: Are pools safe to swim in?
A: According to the CDC, COVID-19 cannot survive in properly treated pool or hot tub water:
Q: When will the PCSR pool open? When will the pool close? Will we have lifeguards this year?
A: Please see the hours above.
Q: How does the club intend to address COVID-19?
A: Working with Sweetwater Pools, the club will enact enhanced safety measures including increased cleaning of high touch point areas & adhere to social distancing, in accordance with state and local guidelines. Sweetwater will disinfect the restrooms and any tabletops upon their normal cleaning schedule, at least twice daily.
Q: How will we practice social distancing on the pool deck?
A: We will modify the pool deck furniture (tables, chairs and loungers) to ensure that individuals can remain at least 6 ft apart from those that they do not live with. We ask everyone to please respect the new arrangement and not move the furniture around.
Q: What are the procedures for keeping the pool deck sanitized and clean?
A: The club is attempting to procure a hand sanitizer station. The lifeguards will clean all high-touch surfaces (tables, chairs, bathrooms) minimum of twice a day. In order to do so the lifeguards may have to close the pool temporarily in the middle of the day to sanitize surfaces. We are asking pool members to also bring their own sanitizing wipes and clean their area before they leave, as an extra measure of protection.
Q: Can I bring guests to the pool this summer?
A: At this time, the Georgia Dept of Health is recommending that we limit pool use to our club members only. At this time no guests will be allowed at the pool to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Only registered members that have signed the 2020 PCSR liability release form will be allowed on the pool deck. The exception will be for child caregivers (like a nanny or a grandparent), and they must also sign a PCSR liability release form before being allowed on the pool deck. We plan to reevaluate the ‘no guest policy’ at the beginning of each month based upon current state & local guidelines.
Q: Can I reserve the pavilion and have parties?
A: At this time to lessen the risk of COVID-19 exposure, the pavilion is not available to be reserved and you cannot host any parties on the pool deck. We plan to reevaluate pavilion reservations at the beginning of each month based upon current state & local guidelines.
Q: What does my membership include?
A: Your family membership includes access to the pool facilities and tennis courts for you and your immediate family. Our club features four lighted tennis courts (two are brand new as of 2017), and a junior Olympic, life guarded pool. In addition, the club has a small basketball area and a pair of kids playground sets. PCSR sponsors a number of social events throughout the year, but those will be likely curtailed in 2020 in accordance with state and county guidelines.
Q: How do I get my key fob for 2020?
A: "Disc" key fobs are used to access the pool deck through the main entrance gate, during normal operating hours. These key fobs will be distributed (or reactivated from last year) upon payment of your 2020 dues and completing the 2020 PCSR liability release form.
Q: Will the club offer Swim At Your Own Risk hours this year?
A: Yes. See SAOR hours above.
Q: Is the swim team happening this year?
A: Unfortunately, the summer swim team has been canceled this year due to the risk of COVID-19 exposure. The Waverunners hope to be back on the pool deck next summer to celebrate #Waverunners35 anniversary! For more information on Gwinnett County Swim League, visit: https://www.gwinnettswimleague.com/
